It has been a privilege to work with families throughout the stages of pregnancy, birth, postpartum & beyond for over two decades. The combination of my professional and personal experience has provided me with a deep awareness of the innate health that resides in every human. This “biodynamic” principle guides the work that I do.
I hold Bachelors’ of Science in Nursing and Psychology. I earned a license as a
Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) at Maternidad La Luz, a high volume birth center on the US/Mexico border. My technical training also includes certifications in Abdominal Therapy at the Abdominal Therapy Collective, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy at the School of Inner Health, Western Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy and Bach Flower Essences.
Prior to giving birth to my son by cesarean in 2014, I spent the majority of my carreer advocating for and supporting women to have empowered birth experiences. After 50 hours of an extremely difficult labor, my son was born by cesarean. My postpartum journey led me to a personal and eventually professional exploration into healing difficult birth experiences, trauma, and nervous system regulation.
In my free time you can find me concocting in my kitchen, exploring nature with my son, soaking in hot springs, discovering near and far lands, dancing and digging in the earth. I am a lifelong student and seeker. I am currently working on a certification in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy from the School of Inner Health in Denver. My son, Isaiah Sage, is my greatest teacher. I am grateful to all the teachers who have crossed my path and shaped my beliefs and to all those I have yet to meet.
“Binah’s presence was a grounding force during my pregnancies, labors and births. Her passion for her work shines through her. I was so grateful to have Binah’s blend of clinical knowledge and alternative healing as part of these profound experiences.”
